Connections – Issue 8

Welcome to Term 4. A most industrious and adventure filled term. This is where all the knowledge gleamed over the year comes into fruition.

My favourite part of being a classroom teacher is seeing that children have an innate curiosity for the tactile world around them. They are excited to investigate the environment around them, absorbing new knowledge and skills like sponges.

However, sometimes along this path of life, this sincere love of learning can be lost. Even as adults, our childlike sense of wonder is hard to maintain unless we actively seek the joy of learning new things. Thank goodness, the love of learning can be established and developed. An easy and spontaneous way to

spark a love of learning is to help children discover and explore topics that interest them.
