Primary School
Prep to Year 6
At Eastside Lutheran College, we pride ourselves on ensuring every student feels valued as part of our vibrant learning community, where each child's individuality is celebrated.
Working in close collaboration with parents, guardians, and carers to support the personal, social, emotional, and academic development of every student, our commitment is to nurture a safe, inclusive, and caring environment where children are encouraged to shine, grow in confidence, and reach their full potential.
Our primary school follows a structured daily routine with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy, ensuring each child’s learning is targeted to their individual needs. We utilise the Playberry Laser program to support literacy development, and implement Daily Mathematics Review to strengthen numeracy skills.
Core Curriculum
At Eastside Lutheran College Primary School, classroom teachers deliver the majority of learning to their student cohort through a transdisciplinary approach to learning.
A transdisciplinary approach means that students explore concepts, issues, or problems by integrating perspectives and skills from multiple disciplines, rather than learning each subject in isolation. This method connects learning across subject boundaries, allowing students to see deeper real-life relevance and make meaningful connections between what they learn.
Transdisciplinary learning encourages critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and helps students understand the interconnectedness of knowledge, better preparing them for the complexities of the world beyond the classroom.
