About Eastside Lutheran College
Faith, Love, Community
Our School
Eastside Lutheran College is set on seven hectares of bushland overlooking Hobart and the Derwent River. Students enjoy abundant room to move, play, explore and learn in an idyllic setting. As one of the few independent schools on the eastern shore, the College draws its student cohort from many areas of south-eastern Tasmania.
The College is the only Lutheran College in Tasmania. It is low-fee paying and inclusive of all. This goes to the heart of our mission to bring affordable Christian education to the southern region of Tasmania.
The College is a family-focused, co-educational facility that attracts a diverse range of students. We're focused on developing the whole child and educating their hearts, minds and hands. This is reflected in the overarching principles and values of the College that permeate all that occurs within the College.
Governance
Eastside Lutheran College is a College of the Lutheran Church of Australia and it operates under the guidance and advice of Lutheran Education VIC, NSW & TAS Region (LEVNT) and governed by a College Board.
The Board’s role is to develop a strategic plan to ensure the future development of the College. A framework of policies supports this plan and the future direction of the College.
The management, operation and educational leadership of the College are administered by the Principal who is supported by the Director of Business Services and a Leadership Team.
