- Secondary Teacher (Mathematics)
The College is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced Secondary Teacher to join our Lutheran College Community as a Mathematics Teacher (Years 7-10). This is a full-time position, commencing in Term 2, 2026. This role involves delivering engaging and creative programs based on the Australian Curriculum and enriched by a Christian worldview.
The successful applicant will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, contemporary pedagogical practice, and a commitment to nurturing students’ intellectual, spiritual, and personal growth. They will actively contribute to the faith life of the school, supporting the Lutheran ethos through authentic relationships, service, and community engagement.

Requirements
Applicants must hold:
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Teacher registration in Tasmania
- A current Working with Vulnerable People Card (or ability to obtain)
- Police clearance (within the last 12 months)
Salary will be based on qualifications and experience in accordance with the Eastside Lutheran College Enterprise Agreement 2024.

- Learning Assistant – Part Time & Part-Time Fixed Term Opportunities
Applications are invited from motivated and compassionate Learning Assistants for an exciting opportunity to support student learning and wellbeing at Eastside Lutheran College, Hobart.
Three part‑time, fixed‑term positions are available, commencing mid‑May and continuing through to the end of June 2026 (Term 2). These opportunities have arisen as three of our current Learning Assistants undertake teacher placements during Term 2.
In addition, the College is seeking a part‑time Learning Assistant (four days per week) to commence on 13 April 2026.
These roles are well suited to individuals with qualifications in education or early childhood learning; however, we also welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience and a genuine passion for nurturing and supporting young learners.
